Sleeping also consumed my long drastic time. I really just wanted to daydream, but ended up taking a nap every day. At night, I have dreams that I like and do not like. I dreamed of Sam Concepcion the last two nights and, as what dreams always are, it was weird like hell. I don’t want to talk about it though. God, it’s so stupid.
It’s a beautiful day, don’t you think? Lee Dewyze just won in
American Idol, and I couldn’t be any happier. I always have a thing for laid back rockers and underdogs. I admit, too, that Crystal Bowersox is way better than him in terms of singing capabilities, but Dewyze is way more charismatic and appealing than her. And it’s America’s fault if Lee won, but I don’t really care. It’s still up to them if they would want to create and build a name for themselves. Read my old
post about AI. I was in love with Alex Lambert and Siobhan Magnus before. I still love them, though. But Adam Lambert is still the best! (So... okay? What the hell.)
And oh, I did something that would surely make someone happy. I noticed how he gets excited with
Trending Topics on Twitter, and how he notices them. So, to bring some smile to his face, I started this
Make Him a Trending Topic campaign thing. Okay, here’s what you have to do, tag your tweets with this one:
#WeLoveSamConcepcion. Ha! Yes, I was talking about him. Teehee.
Pinoy Big Brother is getting controversial now. First with that “we-are-rapping-for-a-stupid-rematch-cause-we-feel-like-we’ve-been-cheated” issue. Well, that made me cry. A bit. Darn. I love Bret to death, okay? Second is the Truth or Dare Kiss between TriMes, BretZie and VanLi. Joe started it! I call Joe “My Trauma”, by the way. Hell yeah! I bet my brother would be so mad once he learned about that kiss! He’s addicted to Ann Li, and I don’t know why. But anyway, I like it when they have chaos inside the house. It prevents their everyday lives from being lame and boring. And I am mean and bad. Whoa.
So, that’s it for now. Toodles babies!
The Way He Makes Me Feel

I have a secret to tell Blogger: I am fond of writing letters to Samuel Concepcion. Yes, but more like of a diary. Instead of
Dear Diary for the header, I write
Samuel. Yeah, I know. It’s crazy. I can’t help laughing when I read my past entries. They are really weird and corny. But that’s the way I roll. I love writing and I love Samuel. So this equation:
“Writing + Samuel = Happiness” is my life mantra. Hello, ha! Now, I’m going to share my two entries: the two events that I met him. Some will be edited because some are stupid. English and Filipino. Okay, now get bored.
12 April 2010, MondaySamuel,
Hello! Hello! Hello! Yay. I don’t miss you anymore. I saw you yesterday – in person. So I don’t have any reason to miss you – yet. Good thing I am part of SCC already; I got access.
Anyway, you drove me crazy yesterday. Why did you tell me that I look familiar? What the hell, Samuel. Are you lying to me? Or was it just your superb memory? The last time we brushed shoulders was on 2008 pa. That was so long ago. So, you’re lying! But I like it, anyway. Duh, you look familiar as well.
Sam: Hi. *looks at the CD and back on me again* You look familiar.
Faye: *poker face* Ay, nakakahiya naman.
Sam: Wag kang mahiya.
Faye: *late reacts* You look familiar ka diyan!
Sam: Oo nga. You look familiar.
I acted so aggressive! But darn it. I didn’t hug you. But I realized that I should take things slooowly. It was just the second time anyway. *Edited part*
But anyway, I really enjoyed the show. I hope to see you again. Always take care. Take a rest, okay? And I am proud that you go topless na, but please don’t overdo it. God, it’s killing me! Yay. I’m just protective. Ha! Be safe.
I still have hang over and euphoria.
Always,
Faye
16 May 2010, SundaySamuel,
I should be watching you right now on
ASAP, but I really am sleepy. BUT, I’d write here first. I’m really sorry that I forgot to update this one. Summer really consumed my time allotted for you. But even though I didn’t get to write here, I had the chance to see you in person again.
Yesterday was a very tiring day for me, but all the spasms (I don’t know the write word) on my system dissolved when I saw you. Well, it was just almost the same, except that you weren’t so tired to make jokes and stuff. You were really cute with all your effortless antics. I should have danced with you! I’m kidding; I suck at dancing. I managed not to faint or die when I got near you. It feels
normal already. Yay. I enjoyed everything, every time. I forgot to hug you again. I still don’t have the courage to do it. But I’m getting there. LMAO. It is fun to be the photographer sometimes, because I get to witness everything.
Sam: *while singing Be My Girlfriend* O, sino mga dancer dito? *Walks towards us* Ikaw.
Faye: No. Hindi. Ayaw!
Sam: Nagtataas ka ng kamay kanina. (That is not true. I was just stretching! LOL.)
Faye: Hindi ah! Hindi! *Sam walks away, still singing and hot*
Morris (SCC member): Ang galing mo. Nahampas mo siya. *laughs* (I didn’t mean to do that. He was trying to make me get up and dance. So I had to do it. Oh no.)
Faye: Andaya mo. Di mo sinasagot yung tweet namin about jejemons and Justin Bieber.
Sam: Kasi kapag sumagot ako sa inyo, unfair sa iba.
Faye: Pwede mo namang hindi na i-mention. (F*ck. Did I really say that?! That was really stupid and tactless. Boohoo!)
Faye: Pa-picture a.
Sam: Sure.
Faye: *pinches Sam’s cheek* Ang cute mo.
Sam: *laughs*
Faye: *while walking away* Yung jejemons a.
Sam: *looks at my direction and smiles* (And Faye dies)
You were really cute when you sneeze. The tip of your nose gets so red. Teehee. I had so much to say to you, like how I loved your white dunks and how that purple jacket looked good on you. But I forgot to say it again. Anyway, the best moment was when I was standing beside you. I literally just stare at you. It was like a 10-second moment with just two steps between us. Damn it. I get all torpe with you around. But I am really happy – up until now. I love every moment I get to “almost-spend” with you. It’s priceless. It’s funny how you make me feel giddy and high. I am really a fan girl – to the XV power. *Edited*
Always take care and be cool. I love ya.
Always,
Faye
P.S: You didn’t tell me that I looked familiar. You’re lying! Ha! IDC.
So that’s it. Please don’t laugh. I am really weird and crazy. Okay. Now I’m so shy. I’d die now. Toodles!
Boys VS Hormones
Something’s bothering me right now. It’s about boys, the male species. Oh damn it. I already told myself not to be too intimate with someone while I’m still studying. I’m responsible now! But I think my hormones were too stubborn and had excluded summer in my “No Boys Yet” contract. They do have a point, but I don’t want anything to do with boys. Really. Anything romantic is such a bad idea. I hate being too much gaga over someone or being in love. I learned from my past. It is hard to forget and move on once it’s over. Yada, yada.
I am talking about an old friend here. Not old by age, but by the span of years that we’ve known each other. Anyway, back in grade school, I used to really like him, but thought he was too blinded by his love for his girlfriend that he won’t notice anyone. He is not that handsome or so, but he has a strong appeal. And he’s funny. I learned to overcome with the feelings and just treated him as a friend. The two of us as an item was impossible. Then I met First Love, and there was nobody in our school that could ever be compared to him.
After four years, old friend and I had met again. There were no intimate and romantic feelings anymore; there were no sparks. But I really missed him, as much as I missed my friends. So everything was normal and casual. We didn’t talk to each other much. I told you before that I am having a hard time conversing with people. Nothing extraordinary, until I got back in Manila and started sending SMS like hell.
Fortunately, I have his number, and we exchanged messages longer than anyone else. There’s just too much catching up to do. While we blab and rant about teenage angst, he said something that made my jaw dropped, made my heart pound fast and jammed my mind like crazy little hormones. Then everything from the past came rushing down and had brought back the feeling again. I hate it. So much. I don’t want to have these unusual feelings for him. I don’t want to be involved too much, but we couldn’t stop talking about things. He has a very unpredictable and complicated personality, and it made me curious to death. I don’t text him because of what he had said, but because I find him interesting and different. All his emo stuffs made my mind working until the wee hours of the morning. He’s good to confide with, and he trusted me with his secrets and problems. With him, I could practice my psychological powers. He said that he’s grateful for all the advices that I gave him and the contagious energy from me that he had felt. It’s overwhelming when you realize that you can influence somebody in some ways. I learned from him and he learned from me.
But the fondness was too much.To set things clear, I don’t want to fall for this old friend. I’m dead serious. I like him in a way, but all we could share is friendship. Anything beyond that is wrong. I’d rather have him as a friend, than someone romantically involved. Because once everything go berserk, it’ll be hard to build something strong between us again. And, I am not a fan of summer love or summer flings. That’s stupidly stupid, for heaven’s sake. We were friends, we are still friends, and we will
only be friends. That’s it.
Lesson: Too much of anything, even sending SMS, is bad for someone’s health.

Late Night Drama
Here I am. Still awake but actually sleepy. Groggy. But blogging despite of my heavy eyelids. I missed blogging like this. Very random and spontaneous. I am into Tumblr these past days, but this blogger will always be my favorite. It’s my first public blog, right? Anyway, I told you I’d be random. This is what happens to me when I force myself to still be awake. I really should be sleeping now, because I’d go somewhere tomorrow. Just some papers to do, errands to run.
My best friend, whom I now call
Boyfriend (that’s not true), talked to me through chat earlier this night (
earlier this night – yeah, right). He told me that my sibling was talking to him [through chat as well]. I didn’t quite understand at first. My brother? This hour? But he said that it was my half sister. Yes, I have a half brother and a half sister. My parents are separated, from a span of years already. Our mom works for our (my brother and I) education. I’m used to not having a father during PTAs and recognition days. But I am not mad at him. I understand, I’m not stupid, and I’m old enough not to curse my family life. Of course, I still dream of my parents getting together again, but that’s impossible. So...
Anyway, they talked about me. Of course. What/who else would they talk about, right? And it was really weird and all. But I think it was super cool. My sister said that she would want to be close to me or something like that. I felt a bit guilty. I never talked to her that much for almost six years now. I don’t know, I feel uncomfortable. But as what my boyfriend say (my best friend, okay?), she is still my sister, and I should take care of her and make her feel that we are siblings. All right. I don’t know what to do. My summer will end already in just 2 days. I’d be going back to Manila by Wednesday, so that means I won’t have the time to talk to her. Maybe the holidays will do. It surprised me to learn that she likes reading books, with the same genre as mine (fiction and mystery). That’s cool. Honestly, I am quite envious with her. She plays the piano! And I can’t. But we have our own talents and personalities. Great.
So that’s it. Sorry for all the drama. I need to sleep now. Good night.
Book Review: The Last Song

Seventeen year old Veronica “Ronnie” Miller’s life was turned upside-down when her parents divorced and her father moved from New York City to Wilmington, North Carolina. Three years later, she remains angry and alienated from her parents, especially her father... until her mother decides it would be in everyone’s best interest if she spent the summer in Wilmington with him. Ronnie’s father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church. The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable story of love on many levels – first love, love between parents and children – that demonstrates, as only a Nicholas Sparks novel can, the many ways that love can break our hearts... and heal them.
©
There are so many reasons why I love this novel. First off, I think Jonah Miller (Ronnie’s little brother) is really smart and annoying in a good way. Second, I could relate to the father-daughter relationship described in the book. Third, Will Blakelee slash volleyball player slash grease monkey slash aquarium volunteer is hot and filthy rich. But honestly, the book was moving. For all you know,
The Last Song is not a love story. The title was really about Ronnie’s father. She played the “Last Song” to his dad before he died (Oops. Spoiler). Half of the novel revolved around her father and only a bit of Ronnie’s relationship with Will.
To tell you the truth, the shameful truth, I cried while reading the chapters where her dad, Steve, was dying. I mean, all. the. time. (and now, my eyes are all puffy and I feel like I haven’t slept for a while) The setting and all was amazing – beach, pier, aquarium, Blakelee mansion, bungalow, the church, the piano, the fireballs by Marcus (though I haven’t seen the movie, I have a great imagination. Ha!). It also delivered a message about endangered species (like turtles) and most of all, about conversing with God and feeling God’s presence in our life.
Now I’m dying to watch the movie. I really want to know who played Jonah (he’s really adorable. Once, he blurted “Holy Crap” but his father reprimanded him; so he said “Jiminy Crap” in the end) and Blaze slash Galadriel, the hot Gothic chick (I imagined her as Siobhan Magnus from
American Idol).
“Sometimes you have to be a part from people you love, but that doesn’t make you love them any less. Sometimes you love them more.”
– Steve Miller
Life, he realize, was much like a song. In the beginning there is mystery, in the end there is confirmation, but it’s in the middle where all the emotion resides to make the whole thing worthwhile.
“I have faith that God will show you the answer. But you have to understand that sometimes it takes a while to be able to recognize what God wants you to do. That’s how it often is. God’s voice is usually nothing more than a whisper and you have to listen very carefully to hear it. But other times, in those rarest of moments, the answer is obvious and rings as loud as a church bell.
– Pastor Harris
He Stole My Lightning Bolt

Oh no. Another face worth drooling. Geez. Logan Lerman is also known as Percy Jackson, Poseidon’s son, a demi-god in the movie
Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. I’m quite enjoying editing pictures of
my guys. Yes, they are mine, but I don’t mind sharing. Ha! As if. I’m effin’ speechless again.
I saw his movie lately. And I was late. But it doesn’t matter anyway. I really like the movie, but I would be even happier if I read the book, as well (My birthday is just 2 months away. That’s a hint.) It is a movie that I won’t get tired watching over and over again, like
Harry Potter and
A Walk to Remember. I was just so naive and ignorant while I was watching it. I was like, “Oh. That’s Poseidon!”, “Lotus-eaters in a casino. Cool.” and “Persephone? Black? Hot.” Well, I really was digging our Greek lessons back in high school. The movie was so fast and funny. Percy acted so stupid. And his Protector was very Eddie Murphy-ish. Thumbs up!
”Percy, you left the camp, disobeyed my orders which is why you’re my favorite student. You can receive all the training in the world but ultimately, you have to follow your instincts, grace under pressure. All right, time to train, go suit up. You might be a big shot up on Olympus but down here you’re still just one of my students. Move it!”
– Chiron (a centaur)
“This is a pen. THIS IS A PEN!”
“Special people, like what? Crazy or something?”
“Oh, wait. You’re a half-doggie?”
– Percy Jackson
Graduation Aftermath

Those are what I had after Graduation. You know, I always like showing off. Ha! Forgive me. I’m just too proud. Silly.
Certificates of Recognition: Best in Math, Best in Filipino, Best in Araling Panlipunan, Best in TLE, and Essayist of the Year. I also received
PGMA Excellence certificates – only: Campus Journalism and Entrepreneurial blah. I don’t have a PGMA medal. I don’t know why. But I don’t care; it doesn’t matter.
Graduation Medals: Florentino Cayco Memorial award, Valedictorian medal.
I don’t have anything good to say right now. I’m busy editing photos. Sorry. Ciao.
Book Review: Dear John

An angry rebel, John dropped out of school and enlisted in the Army, not knowing what else to do with his life – until he meets the girl of his dreams, Savannah. Their mutual attraction quickly grows into the kind of love that leaves Savannah waiting for John to finish his tour of duty, and John wanting to settle down with the woman who has captured his heart. But 9/11 changes everything. John feels it is his duty to re-enlist. And sadly, the long separation finds Savannah falling in love with someone else. “Dear John,” the letter read... and with those two words, a heart was broken and two lives were changed forever. Returning home, John must come to grips with the fact that Savannah, now married, is still his true love – and face the hardest decision of his life.
©
Dear John is not the book for me. Ha! I just don’t like how it ended. It was tragic. I was used to reading novels with a happily ever after ending. But I did cry when his father died and when he learned that Savannah had fallen in love with her best friend, Tim. I think John’s character had experienced so much pain already, and in the end, still, he lived incomplete. But I think he was really nice and all; he sold his father’s coin collection for Tim’s surgery and medical bills. That was noble.
The plot was really good, because it was not only a love story, but it revolved around the American soldiers, as well. It also talked about children’s diseases like the Asperger’s Syndrome, father and son relationships, charity works, surfing and crew cuts. Over all, I liked it; it was touching and moving.
I finally understood what true love meant... love meant that you care for another person’s happiness more than your own, no matter how painful the choices you face might be.
– John Tyree
Passion is passion. It’s the excitement between the tedious spaces, and it doesn’t matter where it’s directed. It can be coins or sports or politics or horses or music or faith. The saddest people I’ve ever met in life are the ones who don’t care deeply about anything at all.
– Savannah Lynn Curtis
Cold Nostalgia
I don’t know, I don’t know; I’m not conscious!
(An English translation of some lyrics from a song)
- Jomari Ian Simando
I still have a lot of those cracks inside my head, but I can’t seem to pull them out of my wonderfully infested brain because of fatigue and euphoria. I am really ecstatic today; I couldn’t explain. It’s like I wanted to go back to grade school just to be with my old friends again. But I’m just joking. I don’t want to! Grade school’s not that good for my health. Ha! I don’t want to do things all over again. Geez, I’m talking stupid stuff.
Want to know why? It’s our
Reunion Special – and it’s part two! Goodness, we never get tired of seeing each other almost every other day. But I enjoyed every single moment anyway, including those “I’m-burning-under-the-sun-walks” and “The Awkward Stillness.”
As what I had expected, we decreased in number. We were supposed to rent a private place or something for our drinking sessions (I think the word “sessions” sounds bad), but odds were not in our favor. Aram’s family unfortunately had problems, and the other two girls (Denice and Tricia) were unavailable. So it was just Bea, Jomari, Brene and I. I know, it was lame. When we didn’t know what to do, we went to Aram’s place. He went out with us, so we were five already (no need to do the Math). We invaded Kyle’s crib, “re-energized” – meaning munching and drinking (water, not those rusty-colored drinks), then stopped by my place. It was now six of us... and that’s it.
Karaoke was the source of entertainment the whole time they were here. Their singing abilities were very funny. We never had a song where we didn’t laugh at something. Everything was laughter, jaw locks, stomach pains and more laughter. They usually translated, in an over the top way, the Filipino songs. That was where we got that “I’m not conscious” line. Most of the cracks and unforgettable scenarios started when they selected Tagalog songs – dirty Tagalog songs.
“Jumbo Hotdog” and
“Stupid Love” were the best they had performed.
The
Pancit Canton Hot and Spicy game was hilarious: the first one to drink iced tea will not have another mouthful of the food. You should have seen the unbelievable look on Kyle’s face when he had forgotten not to drink. Brene was such a pig, but we really did buy his “knock-knock” jokes. It was trite, but very funny. The boys were very ridiculous and childish. We called them boys the F4. Yes, they did try to sing
“Meteor Rain”, with all the choreography and boy band-ish moves. Those guys are insane!
I will never forget this day, ever. This is also one of the best days of my life. And I’m happy that I get to spend it with my great friends. I am looking forward to another karaoke afternoon. I love you guys! I’d see you again, all right?
It will take another four years for this to happen again. Faye will surely miss this.
- Aram Garbo
That’s so true, Aram. So damn true it hurts.
Politics and Bacteria
Happy May 1st everyone! Start your fifth month with a bang!
I’m quite drunk right now, but I hope I could still manage to compose a senseless blog entry. Yes, I did drink beer, just two bottles though. I only do it once a year, so give me a chance! Please.

From left: Tricia Paz, Sarena Noblefranca (hidden), Brene Luz, Jomari Simando, Bea Salva, Denice Firme, Faye Ordas (I look stupid again) and Aram Garbo.

We had a reunion again. It’s not what you think. This one is a
real reunion. Eight people came: Kyle de Leon, Brene Luz, Denice Firme, Aram Garbo, Bea Salva, Sena Noblefranca, Tricia Paz and Jomari Simando. It wasn’t that big, but at least I can call it a reunion now.
We went to SM Naga (again), Caby’s Cabana and Bean Bag. My drinking ability sucked. I didn’t really expect that I’d drink too much and not be able to hold myself together perfectly (literally speaking). I nearly slept on the chair! I’m really dizzy right now, but I like the sensation of it. It’s like the feeling between jumping off a cliff or a really high building or anything that is towering and finally hitting the solid ground. It’s exhilarating – but after a while, your head would ache like someone is stupidly trying to break it open. But it’s thrilling, still.
Four years time had changed us a lot. High school really had brought out the best in all of us. Aram’s their school’s batch Valedictorian, and some of us excelled in a specific field, like Kyle in love, Brene in government. Okay, that’s a big feat! But that’s good.
We talked mostly about politics and college plans – how amusing we could have been to look at: teenagers talking about politics. We had so much fun and laughs we lost track of time. Aram talked so much about Science and bacteria. Darn it, can we have a break from all these academic lectures, please? He kept on speaking in English and Spanish. Like, what the hell. But even Valedictorians talked stupid at times. He once said Foint instead of Point, and Ferfect instead of Perfect. Our mistakes gave us so many reasons to laugh till our stomachs ached in protest.
I am so happy right now that I could dance naked. And I’m kidding. Who would dance naked, seriously? But I am ecstatic beyond doubt (though my head is spinning right round, right round). I’ve never been happy to see these kids (we still are kids, mind you – yeah, kids who drink and talk about politics). I love these people. We will have another get together on the 3rd, and it will involve cases of alcohols again. I’m looking forward to it. I mean, not the bottles of rusty-colored drink, but my grade school friends, okay?
Need to feed myself and hit the sack already. I’m scared of hangovers.
