IDK why but every time I dress up as someone from any faction, I always end up looking like factionless. And yeah, I was supposed to be Dauntless. And yeah, the movie was awesome! (Thanks to @dzandrogeral for taking this photo... and laughing at my face after.) #Divergent

#The1975MNL was insane!! Despite the heat (they were squinting all through out the show!), the band was able to perform in a srsly awesome way. The music, the energy, their accents, their freakin' insane hair, the crowd and their facial expressions (the drummer-who-kinda-looks-like-Colton Dixon had the awesomest array of faces) all put the temperature to shame.
TBH, I only went to see them because I was bored to my wits. I've heared of #The1975 but haven't actually listened to their songs. (And okay, I also went because they are good looking.) But I'm glad I did because they're so awesome! Definitely going to add The 1975 to the growing Faye's Band Freak List. xx
Testimonial: Super Student
Last March 12, 2014, I delivered a testimonial speech in our Recognition Ceremony. I tried my hand at giving a speech ala-
Ashton Kutcher at the Teen Choice Awards... I failed miserably.
I was tasked to speak in front of you this afternoon and talk about my experiences as a college student. But you know what? I’m just a normal student like all of you. I worry about test results and hate term papers. I get zits from stress and restlessness. My life as a student is extraordinarily
ordinary. So I won’t be talking about my experiences as a student because I can’t tell you something you already know. But I’m thinking that instead of sharing “memories” with you, I would just share my own set of tips on how to be a super student. I’m not much of a super student myself but these are what I’ve learned and accumulated over the years. So here are my top three ways on how to survive college without losing your sanity.
One: Manage your time properly. They say “time is gold”. And the poet Robert Frost said that “nothing gold can stay”. So that means, applying the rules of logic, that time cannot stay. Time wasted is time that we can’t claim back. One of the keys to be a successful person is managing one’s time wisely. Students should know their priorities. Once we set our priorities straight and schedule our works properly, we won’t cram. We can apply our skills to their full potential. It will lessen our stress. We can actually have more free time if we know what to and what not to do first. So learn to set your priorities and manage your time properly.
Two: Be open to new ideas. Don’t lock yourself up in boxes that won’t get you anywhere. Take every class as opportunities to grown mentally, socially and emotionally. To be honest, I don’t like studying. I don’t like staying up late reviewing and taking tons of notes till my brain cries and my hand bleeds. I don’t like studying
but I like learning. I like knowing a lot of things. I like learning that’s why I love to read – even the nutritional facts table at the back of food boxes I read, because you never know how much calories you can get from a chocolate chip cookie. There are many ways to learn – read, listen to your professors, attend seminars, talk to people, ask questions. Always, always, always ask questions. I always say that the only way to survive a boring class is to ask questions. Be curious. Contrary to the popular belief, curiosity
doesn’t kill the cat; curiosity makes the cat wiser… and then the cat eventually dies of old age or of some freak accident. Be open to new ideas and grow as a person.
And lastly, have fun. Life in school should be considered as one of the best moments of our lives. Be inspired. Find inspiration in everything and hold on to that inspiration till you make it through the day.
Sabi nga nila, walang taong bobo, meron lang tamad. Sabi ko naman, walang taong tamad, meron lang mga taong hindi inspired na kumilos. If we all find inspiration and happiness in what we do, we can be the best persons we can be. Have fun. Go out once in a while. You can still be a super student even if you play DOTA moderately, even if you attend parties from time to time. I’m an honor student but I like watching movies, I have Instagram, and I fangirl every day. Have fun learning, because when you start to have fun, you start to like what you’re doing. And if you like what you’re doing, you will eventually be successful.
Find something special. Hold it. Love It. Let it love you back. It will be terrifying but it will be beautiful. x

Already several months had passed, and I am missing
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry more and more each fleeting day. There are just some things in life that we can never forget – especially that something that had given us knowledge, skills, strong relationships and a second home. I am glad that everything in the magical world is now at peace, since Voldemort (yes, I can now say his name; no need to be afraid) had died. I had secretly admired Tom Marvolo Riddle (Voldemort’s birth name) though, because of his intelligence, passion and love for magic. Wasn’t he very clever to think of and conjure his seven
Horcruxes to preserve his life, or form a clan of
Death Eaters who were very loyal to him and would give up their lives just for him to succeed? Not everybody can acquire that much loyalty from people these days. I do not, however, admire him for the way he had carried out all of his plans. He had a good agenda, his means just weren’t morally right. But he still is one of the darkest wizards of all time… and let’s leave it that way.
Oh, for all those who are baffled of what I’m saying here and who the heck I am, my name is
Christine Faye Ordas, and I am an alumnus of Hogwarts. I came from the bronze-and-blue-clad house of the smart ass witch Rowena Ravenclaw and her dictum
“Wit beyond measure is a man’s greatest treasure.” And yes, I know the wonderful Luna Lovegood (she’s such a darling) and Harry Potter’s first crush Cho Chang. I had just left Hogwarts last May. Right now I am trying to pursue a career in magical researches, literature and writing. It’s my dream to inscribe intellectual books, publish and sell them in
Flourish and Blotts for the future Hogwarts students’ use. I am also planning to credibly write for the
Daily Prophet, the magical world’s primary news bulletin. And of course, I will be very much honored to contribute to Mr. Xenophilius Lovegood’s
Quibbler (hence, my interest in magical researches). I have always found the Lovegoods a fascinating family, and I bet working with and for them will be very exciting. Or maybe, in Merlin’s beard’s time, I can write legends and bedtime stories like the famous – and wickedly brilliant – Beedle the Bard.
And that’s how my life goes these days. I am utterly missing my old school, my friends, the Great Hall, the bronze eagle knocker just outside the Ravenclaw common room, Professor Flitwick (the head of our house), Hogsmeade, the Quidditch matches (although I didn’t actually play for the house), the moving portraits, the castle ghosts, the pumpkins on Halloween, the giant pine trees on Christmas, Rubeus Hagrid’s (Hogwarts’ gamekeeper) tea and treacle fudge – even the crabby Argus Filch (Hogwarts’ caretaker) I miss. Maybe I can visit the school grounds sometimes and see how the magical world’s been doing since Voldemort died (I’ve been spending my months in the muggle world, you see). I’ve heard everybody’s been moving on and starting all over again; the ministry is back on work under Kingsley Shacklebolt; and Harry Potter’s scar haven’t been disturbing him since.
All is well, indeed.
And because of that, we should celebrate and drink firewhisky! Oh, I still don’t drink firewhisky; I can take butterbeer or tea or pumpkin juice – just not firewhisky, please.
