A Random Creation
by Darrelle Matienzo

Seasons of nature
phases of life
like pages of books
and verses of values

In her eyes
stacks of timber are rows of death
for in every tree we cut
her every child we kill

Her natural warmth
forming ripples of heat
catching our senses
and filling our mind

Forests of green
turns into a seas of red
An endless rain of burning leaves
piles up ember beneath her shade

Trees are stripped
naked to the eyes of man
enduring death's embraces
awake all through out the cold

After the frost
and their undeath
from the Earth springs life
Another umbrella covers the lamp

From the shifting sands
to the sleeping seas
close our eyes
and listen to her pleas
