My World 3.0

Okay, I’d be random again. The title? If Justin Bieber has his My World 2.0, I have my own My World 3.0. My humor sucks. Geez.

First, if you always visit my blog, you’d notice the new skin. I got it from my favorite blog skin maker Nicole. I like her works ‘cause they are very plain and unique. I don’t know. I can’t really describe her works. They look peaceful, alright. I’m sorry though if I put that new playlist up there. I really don’t know where I’d put that one. I’m no good with codes, you know? I need help. Really. Any idea?

My new soft pink playlist is composed of 11 songs: Missed You (Sam Concepcion), When I Look At You (Miley Cyrus), Hey, Soul Sister (Train), Come On Get Higher (Matt Nathanson), Vanilla Twilight (Owl City), In My Head (Jason Derulo), 1234 (Plain white T’s) Never Let You Go, Overboard, Where Are You Now and That Should Be Me (all by Justin Bieber).

I’m done with Dear John already, and I don’t like how the story ended. I’d stop there. I’d talk about it on my next future posts. But if you are planning to read it, please, bring with you your handkerchief or a tissue. You’d cry, believe me. And prepare yourself for painful scenes, dammit. I’d watch the movie next time. I’d see if it gave respect to the book.

Yesterday, my Lola and I went to Santiago, Iriga City (I’m not sure if it’s still in that city) to visit some old friend of hers. I like it there. It’s quiet and nearly isolated (I told you I’m introspective). I spent my time there reading Dear John, and stopped when my butt hurt from seating on that patio-like cement. I would want to live there, if I have my own car already. Transportations are quite hard in that place.

It’s odd here, there’s always rain. In Manila, it’s a miracle if we’d get drizzles. Here, you’d have 50% chance of bumping into someone you know in the streets; in Manila, you’ll never meet the person beside you in a bus ever again. Here, you can still stroll outside in the wee hours of the morning without the feeling of paranoia; in Manila, you wouldn’t want to still be outside after 10 pm. Here, entrance examinations for good colleges are done in summer; in Manila, exams for Ateneo, La Salle, UP, and UST are being held in August to October only. Here, people are dressed like everyone else. I mean, they are all simple to be alike (though sometimes I see others with a very “unique” fashion sense – like that guy with a Goo Jun-Pyo vest I saw in the bus yesterday); in Manila, you should dress to impress (and others do it over the top). When you got lost here, you need not be worried, you can easily find your way back; in Manila, you need to contact someone to get back home.

Not that I’m biased or so, I just noticed the differences between the two places where I grew up. But these differences make me love them both even more. I’d always owe my knowledge in Manila, and I’d always go back here in my true home.
