Politics and Bacteria

Happy May 1st everyone! Start your fifth month with a bang!

I’m quite drunk right now, but I hope I could still manage to compose a senseless blog entry. Yes, I did drink beer, just two bottles though. I only do it once a year, so give me a chance! Please.

We had a reunion again. It’s not what you think. This one is a real reunion. Eight people came: Kyle de Leon, Brene Luz, Denice Firme, Aram Garbo, Bea Salva, Sena Noblefranca, Tricia Paz and Jomari Simando. It wasn’t that big, but at least I can call it a reunion now.

We went to SM Naga (again), Caby’s Cabana and Bean Bag. My drinking ability sucked. I didn’t really expect that I’d drink too much and not be able to hold myself together perfectly (literally speaking). I nearly slept on the chair! I’m really dizzy right now, but I like the sensation of it. It’s like the feeling between jumping off a cliff or a really high building or anything that is towering and finally hitting the solid ground. It’s exhilarating – but after a while, your head would ache like someone is stupidly trying to break it open. But it’s thrilling, still.

Four years time had changed us a lot. High school really had brought out the best in all of us. Aram’s their school’s batch Valedictorian, and some of us excelled in a specific field, like Kyle in love, Brene in government. Okay, that’s a big feat! But that’s good.

We talked mostly about politics and college plans – how amusing we could have been to look at: teenagers talking about politics. We had so much fun and laughs we lost track of time. Aram talked so much about Science and bacteria. Darn it, can we have a break from all these academic lectures, please? He kept on speaking in English and Spanish. Like, what the hell. But even Valedictorians talked stupid at times. He once said Foint instead of Point, and Ferfect instead of Perfect. Our mistakes gave us so many reasons to laugh till our stomachs ached in protest.

I am so happy right now that I could dance naked. And I’m kidding. Who would dance naked, seriously? But I am ecstatic beyond doubt (though my head is spinning right round, right round). I’ve never been happy to see these kids (we still are kids, mind you – yeah, kids who drink and talk about politics). I love these people. We will have another get together on the 3rd, and it will involve cases of alcohols again. I’m looking forward to it. I mean, not the bottles of rusty-colored drink, but my grade school friends, okay?

Need to feed myself and hit the sack already. I’m scared of hangovers.
